These kids all love napping, cuddling and sleeping in the bed. Sometimes all at the same time.

Happy Birthday Katie

It's kind of hard to believe that Katie is 6 years old. It doesn't seem like long ago she was a rat-sized ball of fur in my bathroom closet. She was even a shy, scaredy kitten—very sweet and cuddly too.

Can I come in? Her siblings are balled up, napping together in this old shoe box.

Hello. I'm guarding this chair.

But she's grown into a beautiful cat. She's graceful and not afraid to flop on my laptop, keyboard or kindle when she wants attention.  She likes ham, shoelace, licking plastic and cuddling her dad. I guess some things never change.

Football Saturday

Mojo spent some time playing football Saturday.

Only, his version of football doesn't involve shoulder pads, mouth guards and first down.

Just a nerf football, which he thinks is the best thing ever. Here he is balancing it on his paw.

He's catch a few tosses and then he just wants to play keep-away. When he's done playing he curls up in his spot and licks the football.

Daily Gunnar

Here's a picture of Mr. Gunanr hanging out under the exercise bench. He also likes to lounge on top of it.

And I didn't get a picture of it, but yesterday he was having a blast batting a lollipop across the floor.

Just doing the laundry

Gunnar decided he wanted to help me with the laundry. That or he that the washing machine made a great cat perch.

It's Katie's turn for a crazy face yawn photo. Here she us yawning while sleeping in the dog bed Mojo absolutely never uses.

In keeping with our theme of pictures of pets that look like they're going in for a dental inspection, here is Mr. Gunnar's best crazy face. Also mid yawn. But doesn't he have the nicest teeth?

Mojo says that he's going to eat you! Okay, maybe I just snapped him mid yawn, but still....Nice spotted tongue there Mojster.

Katie was helping me edit my writing again this weekend.

While dad's away

This is Mojo practicing his sad face. I mean talk about puppy dog eyes!

Matt worked a few hours on Saturday and Mojo looked so dejected without Matt around so I Mojo-sat and sat on the couch with him. He still looked sad, but I did get to see Gunnar let himself into one of the cabinets....stay a few minutes and pop back out. That was amusing.

Mojo is a very sensitive dog, and he doesn't like it when we leave or don't pay attention to him.

Gunnar wasn't Matt's present but he sure had fun with the gift bag.

Top 10 reasons Gunnar is EVIL

1. He looks evil.

2. He's a bully. He likes to sneak up on Katie and generally torture her. Eat if she wants to eat, he runs her off from the food spot. He likes to take her toys and do everything in his power to annoy her. He Jumps on her when she's drinking, tackles her, bats at her tail. If Katie goes in a closet or small space, he'll wait on the outside to attack her when she comes out.

3. He gets his breakfast at about 6:35 every morning. If he hasn't had his breakfast by 7 a.m. he'll start making as much noise as possible and come wake me up.

4. He once woke me up by punching me in the face.

5. He also likes to barf at 5 a.m. on the bedroom carpet. That's a pretty evil wakeup call.

6. He likes to bat at my hair when I'm doing situps. 

7. He finds all sorts of things he's not to have. He'll try and eat spare buttons or clothing tags he finds on the carpet.

8. Drug addiction: Once I came home to find him rolling around in a pile of catnip he broke out of a cabinet. (He can break into cabinets!!!) He was stoned out of his mind. He's quite addicted to kitty drugs.

9. Ego. He will take food off of your plate. Even if you're looking. He is completely unapologetic about ruling the roost. 

10. He uses the couch as a scratching post. Also, one of his favorite activities is shredding paper towels.

Katie loves a good sunny spot. She also loves regally sleeping on top of a pillow. I'm not quite sure how these pillows got this way—they're extra pillows that we usually keep behind the bed. They must have fallen over, but they made a perfect little kitty couch for Katiw to lounge on.

A Dog's Life

To look at his face, you'd think he was the loneliest, saddest, least spoiled dog on the planet. Really, he's spending Sunday with mom---sleeping on a bed and looking out the window. He'd had bacon and eggs for breakfast. Yeah, Mojo you have it rough.

Outside please

Here's Gunnar looking longingly out the window. He likes to watch the birds. They nest right off our porch. He makes the cutest chirps as he watches them. I was working at home the other day and the birds were super loud at around 10 a.m. So loud I went outside and told them to shut up. I think Gunnar likes the chatter.
