Playing Football Dawggone it!

Football season kicks off this Friday, so Matt and Mojo were working on their passing game. Here's Mojo's highlights reel. Whatdayathink Coach Richt? Need a receiver?

All curled up

Katie is all curled up in the bedding taking a much-need weekend nap. I thought she mimicked the shape of the pink blanket well.

Hide and Seek Champ

I couldn't find Katie anywhere. She wasn't in any of her usual hiding spots: under the table, under the bed. I finally found her in the bedroom closet, where she managed to wedge herself in between my long sleeve workout shirts.  Don't ask me why.  (But yes, she fits. :)

Staying in the closet

Katie has decided that she likes my closet. I wish she'd pick up a little while she's in there.

Fat cat

Gunnar likes to lay down to drink his water. He flops down and then stays by the bowl. It's really quite funny that he is that lazy. But I guess you gotta do what's most comfortable.

It kind of reminds me of Homer Simpson resting his food and drink on his belly. Just don't tell Gunanr because I don't want him getting any ideas.

Kitty time out

I caught Gunnar hiding under the table the other day. The way the chairs are arranged it kind of looks like a little kitty fortress. We have these great bar height chairs and the cats use the chairs as sort of a jungle gym to dive under, balance on and hide from Mojo. But here, Gunnar just has a quiet moment. Don't worry, I'm sure he's plotting his next caper.

Licking plastic

One of Katie's offer habits is licking plastic. She loves it.

If I bring home plastic shopping bags, she'll lick them. Once Matt got a suit back from the dry cleaner and she climbed up in the closet to lick the dry cleaning plastic. In the middle of the night. Seriously, no plastic is safe. 

We asked the vet about it. The vet said her cats did it too and that they like the texture. She said it wasn't a mineral deficiency or anything. But to be safe, if we leave plastic shopping bags around just to cut the handles so she doesn't get caught in them.

It's not the dog treats Katie is after, it's the plastic wrapping. And look at that face.
