When we first moved into this house, we spent a fortune replacing the carpet. And so every time I see the cats sharpening their nails on the carpet (not one of their multiple scratching posts) I cringe. Gunnar's gotten so bad that he can actually pull carpet up.
This is what he's done outside the bathroom. RUINED the carpet.
And this was my solution for a new spot he started clawing at: colored duct tape
